Guojian (Tianjin) Steel Co., Ltd. specializes in the research and manufacturing of non-penetrating Roof Clamps for colored steel roof panels. We offer customized corrugated profile materials, one-stop hardware component procurement, and free load-bearing test samples. Our clamps are made using a single-piece stamping process and are constructed from thickened aluminum alloy or zinc-aluminum-magnesium-carbon steel, effectively preventing the waterproof layer of the factory roof from being penetrated, thereby fundamentally eliminating the risk of roof leakage.

The Roof Clamps supplied by Guojian Factory are suitable for various metal roof types, such as concealed fixed (Jiachi) panels, corrugated plates, and lap-seam systems. When combined with the C-shaped groove guide rails provided by our factory, they can securely fix photovoltaic modules. The clamps are equipped with integrated anti-slip teeth and rubber buffer pads, which can effectively prevent scratches on the surface of the colored steel plates and maintain stability even under strong winds of up to 60 meters per second, without sliding. With our independently-owned hardware stamping production line, we continuously provide distributed photovoltaic projects for industrial/commercial facilities and logistics parks, significantly reducing the installation cost of roof renovations and effectively reducing the maintenance risks caused by water leakage in the future.

Manufacturing Process

1. Raw Material Selection & Testing

Uses GB 6005-T5 primary aluminum billets. Incoming inspections verify tensile strength, yield strength, and the Al-Mg-Si alloy composition; recycled or impure aluminum is strictly rejected. Basic salt spray corrosion resistance is spot-checked, and non-compliant materials are returned immediately.

2. High-Temperature Integrated Extrusion

Billets are extruded at a constant temperature of 520°C to form the clamp body, gripping claws, and bolt base in a single piece. This seamless, weld-free design ensures uniform load distribution and eliminates the risk of structural failure at weld points.

3. Precision CNC Gear-Tooth Milling

Fully automated CNC equipment mills a diamond-patterned anti-slip texture onto the inner gripping surface. Standardized tooth depth and pitch maximize friction against the roofing panel, preventing lateral slippage during high winds.

4. Anodized Anti-Corrosion Treatment

Extruded clamps undergo anodization to create a dense 12μm protective oxide layer that seals against air, rain, and salt spray. The oxide layer integrates with the aluminum, providing long-lasting corrosion resistance even at cut edges.

5. Integrated Buffer Pad

Includes an EPDM rubber pad (temperature resistant from -40°C to 120°C and UV-resistant). Molded for a precise fit against the clamp's contact surface, it cushions installation pressure and prevents the aluminum alloy from scratching the paint on color steel tiles or Al-Mg-Mn panels.

Installation & Usage Guidelines

1. Pre-installation Profile Verification

Accurately measure the color steel tile's rib height, rib spacing, and seam width prior to installation to select the correct clamp model.

2. Standard Tightening Torque

Tighten bolts to a standard torque of 20–30 N·m using a torque wrench.

3. Installation Environment

Schedule installation for dry, sunny days; ensure roofing surfaces are free of standing water, oil, and dust.

4. Load-Based Layout Specifications

Increase the density of clamp installation points for roofs with a slope greater than 20° or in coastal areas subject to high wind loads. 

5. Prohibition of unauthorized component modification

Grinding or cutting the anodized surface of aluminum alloy clamps on-site is prohibited; any cut surfaces must be recoated with anti-corrosion sealant.

6. Post-installation inspection requirements

Inspections are required every six months following project handover, with a focus on bolt tightness and the condition of rubber pads.

Generic market clamps often have poor profile compatibility, leading to loose grips or surface scratches. We offer three main series—Jiaochi (470/760/820) clamps, Al-Mg-Mn standing-seam clamps, and trapezoidal sheet clamps—and can create custom molds based on specific corrugation heights and pitches, providing a unified supply solution for the entire project.

2. How do we handle clamp rusting and slippage in coastal or chemical zones with heavy salt spray?

Standard galvanized clamps often rust and break within three years, and mixing aluminum with iron causes electrochemical corrosion. Our clamps feature a 6005-T5 aluminum alloy body with an anodized finish and 304 stainless steel fasteners; they show no rust spots after 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray testing, ensuring stable performance in highly corrosive coastal and chemical environments.

3. In typhoon-prone areas, will the clamps come loose or cause the PV array to detach?

The clamps feature thickened gripping claws with anti-slip serrations for a perfect fit against the corrugations; third-party lab testing confirms a wind pressure resistance of up to 1.5 kPa. Paired with anti-loosening self-locking nuts, the bolts remain secure despite thermal expansion and contraction, and the system has been successfully deployed in numerous typhoon-prone coastal projects without any slippage incidents.
